Wabasso, MN - January 15, 2026


The Wabasso Public School Board has selected Anthony Aafedt as its next superintendent and has taken official action in open session to enter into contracts negotiations. Aafedt has served in multiple leadership roles at Dawson-Boyd Public Schools, including math teacher, transportation director, and former activities director, and brings deep experience in finance, operations, policy development, and community partnership, along with prior service as a school board member and senior leader in the Minnesota Army National Guard.

 

Board Chair Josh Goche said, “Anthony Aafedt brings energy, clarity, and a strong belief in rural public education. He understands leadership, community, and the importance importance of vision. The board is confident he will effectively lead Wabasso forward.”
